The PFITZ Model
A way to see your working capital position clearly, before a lender sees it for you.
Most businesses find out their working capital is under pressure when a lender tells them. By then the options are narrower and the terms are worse. The PFITZ Model exists to catch it earlier, using the same lens credit teams use, because it was built by someone who ran credit and risk teams, not just someone who sells finance.
The Model is the framework. It's put into practice through three tools: the Working Capital Assessment, a 10-minute self-assessment that gives you a Zone reading; the Working Capital Review, a facilitated session that goes through each pillar in depth; and the Bank Readiness Score, a deeper 100-point assessment for when you're actually preparing to seek funding. Each Review ends in a tailored Funding Blueprint, and outcomes from that Blueprint feed back into the next Review, so the process improves the more it's used.
Together, these four determine which Zone of Financial Strength your business sits in: Pressure, Stability, or Strength.
